The seminar will examine PPC2000 in detail, and will outline the considerable
benefits to be derived from its use in partnering, including cost-saving and improved
efficiency. Delegates will hear directly from users of the contract, its author
David Mosey, and other experts who are leading the way in project partnering.
You will find out what it is about, how to use it, how to select partners and
all the information required to create successful partnerships. The event, chaired
by John Wright, Chairman of The Construction Industry Council's partnering task
force, will also officially launch the Scottish supplement to PPC2000 published
by the ACA. It is supported by the Chartered Institute of Building (Scotland),
Rethinking Construction, the Association of Planning Supervisors and the Royal
Incorporation of Architects in Scotland.
This will be an essential day of learning for all those involved in the
construction industry in Scotland, whether you are partnering or not.
Following the Construction Task Force's Rethinking Construction initiative,
chaired by Sir John Egan in 1998, PPC2000 is the first standard form of project
partnering contract created to help achieve its aims, and is now in widespread
use. It is fully endorsed by The Construction Industry Council, The Housing Forum,
The Movement for Innovation (M4i), The Local
Government Task Force and the Construction Best Practice Programme.
