IDEX Media is a leading organiser, producing a wide range of leading-edge exhibitions, conferences and events. In March 2001 it acquired Satellite Communications, the business-to-business conference organiser operating in the insurance and financial and security markets.

In the recent past the company has produced many successful events including the Project Challenge series of international management conferences, in Birmingham and London, a number of high-profile insurance industry events in association with POST Magazine, a one day marketing conference Excellence in Promotional Marketing, in London, (a joint venture with the Institute of Sales Promotion) and its own events Profitable Soil Substitutes (recycling and composting markets), and Creating Successful Construction Partnerships with PPC2000, (Construction), a joint venture with the Association of Consultant Architects.

In 2004 the company expanded with its acquisition of the Off-Price Show London—now Europe's leading trade fashion trade show for discount fashion clothing, footwear and accessories. In 2005 the company launched a 2nd edition of the Off-Price Show.

In 2006 IDEX added PISEC (Product and Image Security Expo and Conference) to its expanding portfolio (A joint venture with the Tarsus Group plc), which was held to industry acclaim in Barcelona in October ‘06.
